Biggest DDDDRRRROOOPPP!!!!....of the week: Calvin Harris Ft. Ellie Goulding – I Need Your Love (-23)
Biggest Jump of the Week: Train Ft. Ashley Monroe – Bruises (+24)

We got a resurrection from Daft Punk – Get Lucky, so just 3 true newbies.  Selena Gomez Inc. is currently the world’s largest mediocrity manufacturing plant (and BOY does that make Andy Grammer ever so jealous).  Slow Down is the latest drone off of the assembly line.  It’s called an R&D department, Selena.  It’s OK to have one.  The Mowgli’s is one of the better names you could come up with for a band if you were restricted to Disney characters…it’s a close 3rd behind The Mufasa’s or The Rafiki’s.  The Lion King was a very good movie.  Their debut Say It, Just Say It is no overwhelmingly great song, but it’s plenty upbeat and delightful.  We’re better off having it around.  Linkin Park ain’t Linkin Park no more.  They debuted Ft. Steve Aoki this week with A Light That Never Comes, a song that is much stranger than it is good.

Blurbabaloo

- Out of nowhere, Avicii Ft. Aloe Blacc – Wake Me Up has risen to #2 and has emerged as a possible successor to Katy Perry’s throne.

- I’m doing something of an about-face on Fall Out Boy – Alone Together.  I may have allowed my tiredness of My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark (Light ‘em Up) to negatively influence the prospect of a new Fall Out Boy song on the countdown.

- Hooray!  Olly Murs – Dance With Me Tonight survived!

- It’d be totally OK if Hits-1 never played Imagine Dragons – Radioactive again.  Or at least not for 4 months.

- I wholeheartedly approve of both this week’s Biggest DDDDRRRROOOOPPPPP!!!!! and Biggest Jump.

- The best part of Enrique Iglesias – Turn The Night Up coming back was that we wound up kicking it out of here twice even though it only was on the countdown for 3 total weeks.  It’s fun to watch awful music go away!  Even a second time!

  1. Awolnation – Sail has been at #45 500 times! Why are people still voting for this song? It needs to go.
